Question about a 1966 Cutlass Sports Coupe headlight’s bezel, nylon push-in screw retainers. The assembly manual shows 2 different part numbers for the inner and middle retainers. Are they different maybe in height? They don’t show a screw and retainer nut on the end. The headlight bucket does have three 1/4” square holes on the top for each side. Can I find these somewhere or should I rig in some generics? Are there three on top of each bezel? I am missing some of the push in retainers. I have two push-in retainers and four screws for the top of my bezels.
For the outer retainer you can use Auveco # 9069 or Disco # 9873PK. Only issue is the are in packs of 50
The center one is a square nut and the closest one you could get was an Auveco # 11308 , it was about a 1/16 of an inch taller , easy to modify. It's been discontinued for years.
I purchased a box of each many years ago , let me see if I can find the extras.

I was able to find the nylon push in screw fasteners at ACE Hardware in the giant Hillman product selections. These were listed as GM license plate fasteners. Dirt cheap too! 55 cents. They fit the square 1/4 holes perfectly. For the taller screw fastener, I used the same push in fastener and used a nylon spacer to get the correct height. I bought a 1/2" spacer that the #8 screw fit in and ground it down to 1/4". That gave it the correct height. Even though there is a square 1/4" hole for a third oustside fastener, I believe they did not use it because with the front fender corner caps on, you can't get to the Phillips head screw. That would make changing a headlight alot more work. Thanks for everyone's help!
