66 cutlass vent window assembly removal

I have a 66 cutlass 442 holiday coupe. I followed the instructions in my Fischer Body manual but I'm still having problems getting the vent window assembly out. It's completely loose, but I can' get the ventilator frame lower adjusting stud to clear the hole back into the door. Do I have to remove the adjusting stud or screw it in some ( there's a slot in the end of the stud for a screw driver)? I know I have to turn the assembly out towards the rear and lift out.

So far I've:
1. Removed division channel lower stud and nut
2. Removed ventilator to inner panel screw
3. Removed ventilator frame attaching screw
4. Removed ventilator frame upper bolt (on the door hinge pillar)
5. Removed ventilator frame lower adjusting stud nut (on door hinge pillar)

Any help would be appreciated - Mark
