Hi guys, I’m new to the forum. 1966 cutlass F 85 convertible. Restoring this car and its AC system. Noticed the vacuum actuator on the blower housing on the firewall of the car. Is this something that I could remove from inside the car as I am going to be removing the dashboard soon or do I have to remove the housing from the firewall?

Also, is this part vital to the AC system working? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you guys.
