Man that would be a great engine for a roadster or T Bucket. Depending on condition, that is a good price. Does it have carbs and linkage by any chance. I am betting they were gone long ago. These were great engines.

Those Nailhead pattern T-400s are in some demand in Buick circles by folks wanting to get rid of a DynaFlow. I'm guessing this came out of a Riviera though I've heard of Electras with the dual quad 425.

Pretty active Buick community on www.aaca.org and always on v8buick.com if you wanna advertise it there too.

Like your choice of a 283 over a common-as-dirt 350. A 283 dressed out with 3, 4 or 6 carbs is a pretty engine.

The 283 was a good choice and very retro. The 425 would be a lot of engine for a T Bucket but would look so cool. This thing should sell guickly.

do you still have this buick engine and trans for sale or has it been sold? any chance you could check the engine code stamp? KX would be '64. LX would be '65. MX or MZ would be '66. looking for drivetrain for a Riviera GS...thanks!
