1977 Plymouth Fury police (lots of NOS)
Here is one of the last police cars in my collection, I hate to part with it but as I age, I have become a little wiser and well, I don't think I'm going to get to this one. This is a 1977 fury Special handling car, (per fender tag) 318 2BBl (Ca. smog car also called the La edition) it only has 78 k since it was parked for many many yrs ! (currently runs and drives) I have Thousand$ into NOS parts including a brand new in the box dash tac! The car was sanded to bare metal and needs stick sanded to be ready to paint. I was going to build it as a Ca. Highway patrol car to go along with my Michigan and NYPD highway patrol cars! I have since sold the rest of my collection, this is all that thats left. I also have a new chrome rear bumper, and two fronts ! and MANY x-tras from a parts car I bought. I have two front ends, single round headlights, or quad rectangle, I like the 7" rounds as it made it look older. (both style were used on the Dukes if thats what you want to make it) I do have Vintage Light-bar, Radio, siren and a vintage Decator radar gun are X-TRA if you're interested.
I have over 50 pictures to send as link if you need more. As you can see by the NYPD, I don't build junk.
$3500 ($4000 with police gear)

Regarding the Caprice pictured: in those years, almost all Highway cars were Crown Vics, even though the regular RMPs were Caprices, so though it's not impossible that it could be a Highway car, it doesn't have the right "air" about it.
I can't see whether you've got the highway angled push bars on the front bumper (there is a piece of a bracket visible), but the light bar is wrong. Highway had the larger light bar with the extra set of electrically-raised arms with the yellow lights on them back then, for extra long-distance safety when pulled up on the side of the road at night.
Also, it needs more dents.

I'm so sick of you know it all police car people !! I PERSONALLY bought 5 (see beat up 94) caprices from new york city !! I have the title to prove it !! How many did you own ? The NYPD had only a limited # of LT1 cars used exclusively on the highways (BQE, LIE and cross Bronx etc. ) the rest were 4.3 cars with crank windows. NYPD highway car also had the Mc Derrmott "scissor" bar that I also had but it wasn't on the car. A NEW YORK STATE police car is entirely different, those car were all blue with duel spots, I can send you pics of that car too ! I have owned over 100 caprice police cars, I don't know it all, but know what I owned, and it was real !

the highway patrol sticker one rear window was as the city used it. The front is missing since the windshield was replaced AFTER i had the stickers made and never went back for it.

I'm not a police car person, I'm just a jerk (sometimes) , but I remember these cars from when they were first placed in service.
Looks like you've got one of the few Caprice Highway cars, which is great, because there weren't that many of them.
And, yes, that IS the scissors light bar I was talking about, and those are the front push-bars.
Nice car, by the way.

ps: your original post sounded as though you are creating police "tribute" cars, as most restorers do, and not, as you appear to be doing, restoring actual former police cars to their original condition, which I think is a much more interesting (and difficult) job, especially considering the treatment these cars suffer while they are in service.

new yorker bumper
Sorry, after 30 yrs of car (1st was 1971 Riviera 455 GS) I have only owned one Mopar, and this one is it. I am however on the lookout for a decent Charger as my 95 Caprice is @ 250K miles and now the passenger door panel has a squeak !
