1969 Skylark 2-door HT 455/400
1969 Skylark 2-door HT 455/400 **Now with pictures**
It's been a lawn ornament for WAYYYYY too long. Lots of good parts, and I personally rebuilt the ENTIRE front end with all new Moog parts back in the early 90's. It hasn't run in a long time, but it is pretty much complete. It's got a fair amount of rust, but it's straight. I've owned it since 89.
The TH400 in it was built by me back in trade school with the help of the instructor there that helped me put all sorts of tricks in it, yet remain stock with the original valve body. I've never felt an auto trans snap into gears like this one did. Amazing performance. He had built a few hundred 350's and 400's and he knew every single part in them blindfolded.
There's also 2 spare transmissions. TH350 BOP, and TH350 with the somewhat rare (I'm told) BOP and Chevy bolt patterns in the same housing.
I have a spare set of heads in the trunk, and a small pile of 3-4 core radiators that can go with it as well.
If anyone's interested, PM me for more details. I'd love to get rid of this one and put a big old Olds in the garage instead.

couple more. If anyone wants to see more, let me know. I can take detailed pics for another day or so while I have a decent digicam on loan. The last pic is a pile of spare parts on the floorboard behind the front seats. The 2 spare transmissions are in the trunk.

It's a 455 Buick engine. I've never been into them like I was into Oldsmobiles. Just want to move this thing. No reasonable offer refused.
If it's not gone by the end of summer, I'll probably yank the drivetrain and scrap it. Tired of having it sit in the yard.

I kind of like it.
My buddy just scooped up a 69 special deluxe for 500 bucks. The only rot on it was in the front fender bottom corner.
I will give him this link, and maybe he'll want this one as well. Can't get this 69 stuff at the auto zone

LOTS of good parts on this one to help restore one, or straight enough to be redone itself.

Right now,I want to sell it as a whole unit. If I were to part it out, the TH400 is probably the most expensive part of the whole car. It was gone through and ran like a champ with probably less than 500 miles on it before the whole car was parked 10 years ago. I believe it's still full of nice pink fluid.
If I do part it out, I'll post it up here, as I know it fits Olds as well.
