67 Ford Galaxie 500

An acquaintance of mine contacted me today to see if I had any interest in this car. The first thing I asked was how many doors and he sighed. I guess the guy pulled from a barn, last registered in 2012 by tag sticker. He says 39k original miles and clean title. He was throwing around 10k OBO. What do you guys think it's worth? PM me and I'll give you contact info if wanted.

Get it running well, driveable and professionally detailed and he might get $6k. Not much market for mid-60s big Fords unless they're immaculate, packing a 428 or are an LTD or convertible.

Definitely more like 6 than 10. I'd put very little money into it as it won't come back. Get it running and clean and take it to shows with a sign with a very large font OBO after the price and take the offer.

If you're on FB, look for the 1967 Ford Registry run by Adrian Clements. He knows more about these cars than I know someone knowing anything about a particular vehicle.

Yeah I agree it's not worth a lot or not near 10k. I know nothing about these cars or desirability but 4 door, bench and small V8 doesn't seem like a dream car. I would think someone has a lot of old cars that are used on movie sets for period correct movies this may be used for something like that?
This guy just offered it up and wanted to get CO thoughts

Polish the paint and chrome, buy a matching hub cap power wash the engine bay. Put a sign in each back window with "affordable Classic Car"...$9,999 or OBO".
