Speedometer Help electronic & mechanical

I was going to do a drive train swap LT1 & 4L60E with everything it takes to do it
Well that was until i found out you can't use a mechanical steel speedometer cable on a 4L60E no place to hook it up.

there is a $450 tail shaft kit but i'm not to interested in shelling out more money
bottom line have a working speedometer with the easiest fix

any thoughts scrap the idea go with an old style trans or maybe some of you have a better idea

i'm open to any ideas

update - well the reason i need the info was for a project drive train i was going to buy
but it was sold so no drive train no project - game over

Find another. They're everywhere.

As to your question,
there's things like this if keeping your stock gauges is important to you.
