71 skylark engine into 84 lesabre?

Just curious if this is an easy transfer. a 71' 350 out of a skylark into a 84 lesabre. Im looking for more power. And I found the engine for 275 and can get a turbo 350 trans with torque converter for 300.

Thank you for your time

I am sure there is somebody here that can answer your question but this is an Oldsmobile board. Good luck on your swap.

It depends on what engine and trans are in the car now. The Buick 350 was available in the LeSabre for the 1977-1980 model years and those motor and frame mounts will bolt into your 84 (the frames are the same for 1977-1985). If your car has the V6, those mounts MIGHT work - I'm not that well versed on Buick motors. If your car has any other GM engine (Olds 307 for example), you will need to change the mounts.

The ease of swapping the trans also depends. If your car has the TH200C three speed, the TH350 is a complete bolt-in. If your car has the 200-4R, you will need the TH200C crossmember. The 200-4R is the same overall length as the TH350 and TH200, so the your existing driveshaft works, but the 200-4R mount is further back than on the other two transmissions, so the crossmember is different. Again, any 1977-1985 B-body crossmember for a TH200 works in your car.

Which "200 trans", the TH200 or the 200-4R?

The 307 mounts are completely different. They bolt to the frame and all the B-body frames are drilled to accommodate all the mounts, so it's just a matter of finding the Buick 350 frame mounts from a 1977-80 LeSabre (or Electra) and bolting them down. You may need a factory service manual to show you which holes the mounts go into. Get the rubber motor mounts for a 1980 LeSabre with Buick 350.
