'69 Buick 430 heads
Since I know so many of you guys love all cars, and just prefer Oldsmobile, I am hoping someone can help me. It turns out the Buick forums are not nearly as helpful as everyone here always is...
I am helping a good friend with some repairs on his '69 Buick Electra convertible. It is a very nice looking car but ran absolutely terrible. I was trying to reseal the exhaust manifolds for him because of some major exhaust leaks. The bolts had never been out and were badly rusted. two of them broke off in the cyl head where I couldn't get a drill in to get them out. I decided to remove the cyl heads to do the repair right and was glad I did. both head gaskets were rotted almost completely through, it had one bent push rod and so much grime buildup the oil drains were plugged and the oil was full up to the pushrod holes!
I took the heads to the machine shop to have them cleaned and checked, so long as they were off. Both heads turned out to be cracked! When it rains it pours!!
Now I need to find some heads for this car. I sold my house and need to move out, but this is torn apart in my back yard! I have done some research and found that the 430 engine used the same heads as the 400 and the 455. I am hoping someone may have some laying around or know someone who does. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Here are a few pictures of the casting numbers on the heads, but it is my impression that any big block (Buick) heads, 1967 to 73 will work. Please correct me if that is bad information.
