64/98 4 door window sealing strips

Or belt moldings, window fuzzies, whatever you would like to call them. The outer ones on my 64/98 have seen better days, as evidenced by the pieces of electrical tape covering them up from the previous owner. I was having a hard time tracking them down, and then lost all the research I had done on the subject. I talked to one supplier who informed me that they don't make them for a 4 door, but if I could tell them what style I had, they could probably sell me 2 door versions that could be cut down.

Any thoughts on the matter? I would greatly appreciate it!

Larry, thanks for that info. Rubber the right way was the company I had contact with. I remember them asking me what mine looked like to match it up. It was kinda difficult, since mine are mostly electrical tape. But after checking their site, they said they'll send samples of some if i tell them which ones.

Thanks for the refresher!

update on my search:

Rubbertherightway.com has universal cut to length pieces, as described up above. Part # for my 64 98 would be 10-048x for the outer belt moldings.

But while my wife and I were researching this, I stumbled across www.steelerubber.com which list pieces that match my doors, without any cutting. My front doors are 25" (approximate) in length, while the rear doors are 34", again, approximate.

The part numbers are 70-0802-61 for the front and 70-0803-61 for the rear. Price including shipping was under $103 for all 4 doors. The universals from rubbertherightway would have been approximately $120, plus an additional 20-30 for shipping. And they would have to be cut to fit.

My wife ordered me the ones from Steele Rubber for Christmas. When I get to install them, I will update everyone how it looks and fits.
