Got a new well liner. Heard different ideas on how it is installed. Never had original one. Is it installed with vinyl side down, cloth side to interior or opposite?

 

Here is what I am trying to figure out. how the liner mounts, the reason for the pocket made with clear vinyl and how it all fits around the slider bracket for the top boot. There is a hole each end of the liner where it attaches to the bulkhead. The boot track is in primer in the pic.

 

Or does it go like this?

 

Wow. No body knows? Then how about an opinion? There are usually a lot of those here.
Then I can decide for myself.

 

Sorry I have no definitive answer but mine is with the vinyl up contacting the top when it is down. I have no idea if this is correct or just the way my trim guy did it did it....Tedd

 

I will look at mine today. I just don't remember how it went in. I had one prior so we did it the same I know that.

I checked mine and it had the original liner in it when we started on the car and it is vinyl to the passenger compartment.
