Frame issues 65 olds convertible

Well got the olds out of storage a week ago and decided to setup an appointment for exhaust. Been working on this car for 5 years on and off as life allowed it. Got a call from the exhaust guy saying we needed to talk. Well come to find out the shop that did my body work skipped over the part about “make sure i dont have frame issues before we start this project. If we do that has to come first” needless to say my frame had some scary repairs on it, and is not suitable for continued driving. So begins to search for a frame or donor car. I have too much invested to stop now and more importantly my son and i love the car. Is this frame a 65 only and if it is will any 65 work?

Post some pictures of the areas your concerned about. You need to have a boxed frame from another convertible.

I dont have any pics at this point, was too lost to even think about pics. The owner of the business recommended started looking for a donor frame but also said he is no expert and after talking a bit he offered to call in a guy from a local hot rod shop who he does exhaust for and get an opinion for him. Basically it is rotted pretty good at the center near the crossmember. Someone welded in more plating years ago and its not pretty. Will add a car pic so u can get why i am heart broken.

63-64 frames are completely different from 65-70 frames.

The Ninety Eight has a longer wheelbase than the Delta. You must use a Ninety Eight convertible frame. 65-66 should work. 67-up might have some differences in the frame horns.
