COULD YOU HELP ME TO FIND WHERE IN THE CAR I CAN FIND:
- THE VIN NUMBER
- THE ENGINE NUMBER

I MUST FIND THEM BECAUSE I HAVE TO MAKE REGISTRATION IN ITALY

I SEE A VIN PLATE:
In the left front door hinge pillar.
BUT I NEED TO FIND WHERE IT IS ON THE CHASSIS

AND FIND WHERE IN THE ENGINE IS THE NUMBER

Hi Marcello,

'57 Olds 98 is my favourite. I also bought '57 Holiday 98 earlier this year.
'57 car serial number plate is located on the left front door pillar as you
said. The body and style numbers are stamped on a plate wich is located
under the hood on the cowl near the right hood hinge. Is there any other
plates? I don't think so. Your's 98 was made in Lansing, Michigan in 1957.
The engine serial number is stamped on a machine pad on the top of the left cylinder bank between the center and rear exhaust manifold ports.

should be in the lower left hand corner of the windshield.

Engine VIN is above the # 1 spark plug on 68 and up, don't know about earlier than that.
