Has anyone ever seen any promo models for the 1960's Full Size Cars???
I managed to find one for my brother inlaws 1964 Cutlass a few years back and would love to get one of my 66 Ninety Eight LS if they are avail. I can't seem to find any info on them though.

Closest you may find, I think, would be a '65 dynamic 88, which was offered in promos as either a 2 door hardtop or convert.
I've toyed with the idea of building a promo of my '65 Jetstar I by kitbashing the AMT version of the '65 Dynamic model and a Pontiac GP model. Or more likely paying someone with talent to do so.

How do you search completed ebay auction???
I guess if I could at least find a 65 Ninety Eight 4 door it would be close. I know they made them cause the TV commercial for the 1966 Ninety Eight LS had the Dealer Promo Model in it.

I am a long time model kit and promo collector and the owner of a 66 98 LS.
I am fairly certain that 1965 was the last year for full size Oldsmobile 1/25th scale promos (it is also the last year for full size Oldsmoblie 1/25 scale kits). The Toronado was the new kid on the block in 66 and he got all of the attention including a promo and a kit.
I have also been unable to find and 66 Oldsmobile kits in resin.
There is a Husky (think matchbox) 65 Starfire that is fairly common. It could be modified to look somewhat close to an LS.
I have alos seen the TV comercial on Youtube and I would suspect the model shown was fabricated by the ad agency or the Olds styling dept.
If you do find something or make something please post a picture!
Thanks.

I thought about this for a very long time, Why aint there no 66 Olds Fullsize kits....Sure would be nice if there was a resin kit out there, But since that too is not yet readily available......I think I'm going to take to my own hands and build a Delta 88 using my 65 Modified Stocker as starting point.
I still have 2 Olds promo models, the 64 F85 cutlass, and a 66 toronado that I got from Bettersworth cadillac/Olds in bowling green, ky... Had a 58 and 60 (full size) and a 61 or 62 F85 but haven't a clue what happened to those....
I have recently requested that American Excellence consider making a model of the 1966 98. They are aware that there is no such model available at this time. I told them I would prefer a convertible but any model would be nice. They have acknowledged my request but a decision is a long way off. If they decided to go for it, it would take a good year for completion. I have access to the registry for these cars and could stir up a lot of interest for buying such a model. If anyone is interested in having your car placed on the 1966 98 convertible registry, let me know and I can put you in touch with the gentleman who is doing it.
