Car Show Sign

Haven't been around here in a bit, but I am planning on (hopefully) starting my restoration of my '63 Ninety-Eight Holiday Sports Sedan in earnest this year. As a bit of a motivator, I made a car show sign in Paint.net, and posted it on line. I thought it might be something readers here would be interested in. Here's the poster:

If you'd like to see the car itself, here's the link to the webpage:

As the restoration progresses, I hope to be a much more frequent visitor.

Sweeet! I expect to see it and your car at Homecoming.

I may have jumped the gun by indicating that you should have it done by Homecoming, but it is a very nice and solid car to start with. Should be even better when it's done.

Question? Are you implying that you will do like posters for others with appropriate images for a given car.

You are obviously far more accomplished with doing a creation like that than most of us gear heads.

We usually make it to Homecoming. It's pretty lame if you can't make it to a car show that is about three miles from your house. I'll have the boat there this year, but if things go well, it probably won't be there in 2013. Hopefully the 2014 show will be its "debut."

Texas, I have about four or five hours of time into this, so I can't just crank them out. My son's also pretty accomplished at Paint.net, and maybe he could do something like this for a fairly modest rate, if you're interested. If that sounds like something you would want to do, shoot me an email at ncwitte@wittelaw.com

Just for fun I thought I would use one of the elements from the sign with one of my pictures. Thought it came out cool:

Wish my interior held up that well- How much was it to get the new headliner installed, if you don't mind me asking? I want to tackle that myself but at the same time....

I can't remember how much the headliner cost...it was years ago and is in need of replacement again, unfortunately. My guess is that a good upholstery shop could do it for maybe $300. Just a guess, though.
