Just purchase a '53 -98 convert has power seat and windows need Source for electrical wiring diagram -- problem : not sure related power windows go up but not down seems I also have a short as fan vent blower motor goes on when door open (accessory lights on) but fan stops when door shut have shop manual but no real wiring schematic --- direction / help sought & appreciated regards

 

I think the 53's had hydraulic pumps to operate the Windows.

 

I am pretty sure they are hydraulic. You need to go to ebay and find you an original factory service manual. They should be about $40.00. Don't get a reprint or one on CD. Get an original with a few greasy thumbprints on it. It has all the schematics and will be the best thing you buy. Welcome to the site and we would like to see some pictures of your car.
