1964 Olds 98 U-joints

I decided to change the u-joints today on the car. The parts books all seem to say both front and rear are the ones with the inside clips.

Well mine had one with outside clips at the transmission end and a pair of inside and outside at the rear.

Fusick thought the inside ones were correct and many parts vendors say the same. The ones on my car agree with the 1965-1970 Olds 98 and also these were on 1957-62 Buick and some 61-62 Cadillac.

I think I am going to get the 1965-70 ones and see if they match. Anyone else have this issue.

I have most of the repair records for this care with 46,250 miles and there is no indication that the car did not come this way. I do have the anti-spin differential is that the reason?

So I guess no one else has had this happen?

Lucky me again.

I did do my driveshaft recently, but my car is in an other location, and therefore I cant post any pictures of my U joints... BUT... I am 99% sure my driveshaft looked like the link below in both ends (snap ring inside ear), and the U-joints I fitted came with inside clips, and went in without any issues.

I hope it answers your question...

Snap rings

Your setup is exactly what all the parts books say.

Mine is not. So I have a different set up. So I am taking an educated guess I need Moog #355 and #354. Since my 1964 is set up like a 1965-70 Olds and some Buicks from 1957-62 and some Cadillacs from 1961-62.

Hope my guess is right I was hoping someone else had this and could confirm it.

But thanks for the help.
