1970 442 headlight replcement

Hi I am a nweby and am having a problem removing existing headlights from car. Do I have to remove the bezel and the inner plastic surround to remove the bulb?

If it's the car in your avatar photo, remove the metal bezel, then remove the stainless retaining ring that holds the bulb to the headlight bucket. The plastic surround does not need to be removed. You may have problems with the small phillips head screws that hold the retaining ring, as they often rust to the bucket and the head is easy to strip. Also, be careful not to break the spot-welded tabs off the retaining ring (although replacements are available). Note that the three screws holding the retaining ring are not equally spaced, so be sure to line them up properly when reassembling.
