Hi, no classic yet but my friend and I are looking around to get a car together either something that needs work or its already built.

Ahh, so you're both still young. Always nice if your wife approves the project idea and the cash flow. Turn keys are ok, but you never know exactly what you're getting. On the other hand, project cars can be some serious money pits but with a wide band of hands on satisfaction when done.
