1970 Rallye 350 infro. needed

Hi New to this. I have been a member for a long time. Never posted anything.
My problem, I own a 1970 Rallye 350 with documentation that cam with the car. The build sheet says F85 Sports coupe V8 with a 3277 vin. This car has
Cutlass marked on the fenders. It is a bench seat 4 Sp. Can some body tell me
the production #'s . From what I am being told they did not make a F85 Sports
Coupe with a 3277 vin. Yet I Have the original build sheet and protect-o-plate
that came with the car

According to the Standard Catalog of Oldsmobile, there were 8,274 F-85'S (3277) built, the Rallye 350 was available on the F-85 (3277) and Cutlass S Sport Coupe (3677) plus the Cutlass Holiday Hardtop (3687). Total production of the Rallye 350 across these 3 models was 3,547.

So what your saying is that did make a Rallye 350 F85 Sports Coupe 3277 vin
What I need is to know many they made of the F85 Sports Coupe on this vin.
Thanks

Yes, I don't have that info, I don't know if anyone here knows or not, Olds does not have a records service as some other makes do for this era of Oldsmobiles.

The R350 was produced as an F85 but was badged as a Cutlass. Most were produced as Cutlass S though. Don't ask why...
As far as how many were produced? That info is not available. It's like looking for the elusive Lansing Build sheet.

If you have the original documentation, that is all the proof you need to document the car. It's extremely rare to find a R350 with all its documentation.

They Made 1,020 Rallye 350 f-85 33277. I dont know the break down for 4 speed. They made 2,367 holiday coupe hard top 33687. The 33677 sport coupe S was based of the piller coupe and there were 160 of them built. Info from olds History has said there were 12 four speed sport coup S cars

Sorry, guys, but this thread is a mess.

The Rallye 350 was available on the F85 Sports Coupe, Cutlass S Sports Coupe, and Cutlass S Holiday Coupe. The "regular" Cutlass didn't have the package available.

The Sports Coupe had a B-pillar, while the Holiday Coupe had no B-pillar.

Not sure why the F-85 Sports Coupe had "Cutlass" on the front fenders but that's what was done.

The F-85 numbers are just over 1000 as mentioned. I never heard any tranny breakdowns so the number 12 out of 160 Cutlass S Sports Coupes seems odd and very lopsided. I think it's fair to stop at the number of Rallyes built by bodystyle because we know those are official.

You said something else:

" the Rallye 350 was available on the F-85 (3277) and Cutlass S Sport Coupe (3677) plus the Cutlass Holiday Hardtop (3687)."

You got the VIN right, but the model wrong - you forgot the "S."

Actually Diego, those numbers are the body styles, not the VIN, so Dan has it right. The 3677 is the post Cutlass S model and the 3687 is the HT Cutlass S model. 3277 is the f85 post coupe. Double check this in the Dealer SPECS or Dealer Showroom Guide.

By coincidence, the VINs would start 336770M, 336870M or 332770M

Second paragraph of the R350 Salesmans Booklet..

Indeed you are correct - I should have used "body number" instead of "VIN."
