1973 Cutlass supreme
I've owned a few 73's.
My favorite was a rustbucket 73
Hurst Olds. It was also a 455. A
buddy of mine blew it up for me.
Check carefully for rust. That stuff
could be rampant. If it's a nice car,
I say go for it. They really are under
appricated, in my opinion. Good luck.
With out pictures it's a little hard to tell! But a noble project none the less.
You have your work cut out for you because of the parts supply is much thinner the previous generation!

Buy the nicest one you can and don't spend a lot of money restoring it. They are beautiful cars but the resale value on the 73-77 generation will rarely justify major expenditures. A factory 455 car with a U in the VIN definitely is a good candidate to start with.

Rcrawford, welcome to CO, you will be amazed at the knowledge here. The Colonade design is under appreciated, but any A body with a big block is worth looking into, rust was a big problem with this design, as stated above.
R, here's a start if you can
use them, pm me. $100 shipped
in the lower 48. They are just dirty,
I have had them for years. Note the clean
breaks, easily fixed. There are NO, None,
broken or cracked fins. The black paint is
flaking off is all.

Let me know how much the purchase price is..photos of the car..mileage doesn't really matter if someone's doing or done work on it..if its a total rehab parts from front quarters forward are not that expensive.quarters back is another pocket of cash..it's nice to see the people have enthusiasm for the 73-77.post some photos of it..
Welcome, any car is a good candidate to play with if it's bought for the right reasons and makes you happy. This hobby is not about resale value in most cases, it's all about love. Post some pics and any questions, and you will get a varied amount of opinions and answers.
sorry i took so long to get back i was busy traveling.
I purchase the car here are some pictures.

the car is rust free and driving. I need someone who know about 455 motor in FL to help me tune up this car. once i get it running the way i want it to. off the body shop.
