Hi everyone!
Hi everyone!
My name's Jesse, and I registered a while ago, but finally got my car in my possession today, so I though I'd finally post. My dad was always buying and selling old cars when I was growing up, but the one he kept was his 1970 Delta 88 convertible, which, since I was five years old, has been my favorite thing in the world. About a year ago, he called me up and said he was gonna finally sell it, unless I wanted it. So, a year later, I've finally got a place to keep it and some extra cash to sink into it, and I drove it home today!
It had the engine rebuilt about five years ago, so, mechanically, it's great. Needs a little cosmetic work though, mainly, a new top, which has a big hole where a pine cone fell through, and a new paint job.
I guess now would be a good time to ask, assuming anybody is still reading... Any idea where I should start looking for a new top control switch, and passenger side sun visor? I've searched pretty good online, and am gonna start hitting the wrecking yards, but if anybody has any advice, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks for reading!

Welcome Jesse. The first thing you have to do is post pictures before anybody on here will even talk to you. Of course I am kidding but we really do like pictures on here and probably at least 5 or 6 more people will tell you that. There is a parts wanted section on here and I would suggest you post there. That 70 Delta 88 was really a good car. Ebay will become your hated friend also. You can find lots of parts on there but the prices can be high. If you switch is still there you might try taking it apart and cleaning it. Again, welcome.
Thanks for the advice, pictures uploaded. I'll add more soon. I don't have the top switch, there's just a generic toggle switch hanging by the wires out of the original hole, I'll check out that parts wanted section.
