70-72 are completely different from 68-69. Go to Google Images and compare. There are detail differences between 68 and 69, mainly the hood hinge bolts, but one can be made to work on the other. There's also a service replacement fender floating around that accommodates both years. Parts Place has been threatening to sell 68-69 repro fenders for a while now.

I second that. I thought when I got my '69 that all years 68-72 would interchange. Man was I wrong! 68-69 fenders/doors /quarters will. Radiator support is different, bumpers are different almost yearly, same with hoods and trunks. I've learned a lot through this site in the last year.

Not quite. The 68 and 69 hardtop and convert doors are different - 68s have vent windows, 69s do not. You can make the shells work, but it is not a bolt-on. Same thing with the rear quarters. The cutout for the taillights is different between 68 and 69. The Chinesium partial quarter patch panels can be used on both because the fit sucks equally, but OEM quarters do not interchange.

The core supports are different for EVERY year from 1964-1972. The fact that 68 has a one piece grille and 69 has a two piece grille should make that kind of obvious. Even 1971 and 72 core supports have a subtle difference between them, mainly to accommodate the 1972 Supreme grilles.

Thanks for correcting me on the doors. I keep forgetting about the vent window (even though I want them on mine).

I love my 69. I bought it to resale, but wound up keeping it.
