Hello from Cincy
Greetings Oldsmobile people!
I come from the land of many Buicks but am looking to expand my horizons.
I'm interested in the full size 4-speeds (Starfires, Jetstar-1's) , A-body 3-speed manual transmission cars and 72 Cutlass models
Also 66 Tri-Carb cars...love multi carb engines (duh). Had a crazy full size 4-speed tri-carb vision a while ago...
Cheers, Happy new year
Ted Nagel
65 Wildcat 4-sp, 65 GS 4-sp, 69 GS350 3-sp

Welcome. I have owned almost every domestic make, but I have never owned a Buick. Someday I will add a Buick 455 to my collection, I'm having too much fun with Oldsmobile though to think about that now. I too have a thing for tri-carbs. There is nothing in the world quite like the sound and feel of having the secondaries AND tertiaries open.
Like big blocks, they are almost miraculous in their coolness, and the fact that they were even made in the first place.

Nice. There was a red '69 Wildcat Convrt. with a white interior, that would show up in my area from time to time, driven by an elderly gentleman, with his wife, just a sweet car. I managed to pull up beside it before in traffic just to get a good look, but I never saw it stopped anywhere where I could talk to the owner, haven't seen it in two years. I would definitetly consider buying it if I had the chance (and if it were for sale).

I think the Olds has more power though. My nailheads have breathing problems
Quaternaries! This is some crazy stuff.
Let's see some pics of these carbs! I like the '65, that particular body style has grown on me a lot. A friend of mine had a convertible like that for a couple years. I also remember some friends of the family, they had a mid-'60s Special, long ago, there was something unusual about this car. It somehow ended up with a massive engine, even though it was sort of a basic car. I was only a kid at the time, but I remember my dad commenting at the time on how it was quite a sleeper.
