First Post, Have Come With P/B Questions!!
hello guys and gals!
i have been searching the net with no luck so i come to you for info...
we (SS and AFX) have a 1955 Olds 98 Holiday with a 324/auto... all original...
so we had all the chrome re-done, new interior, tune up, and now were on brakes...
i already replaced all the wheel cylinders, shoes and hardware with no sweat...
but now im on the master cylinder/booster...
i got the whole thing broke down, cleaned, honed the cylinder for a good finish, reinstalled the master and guts back onto the vacuum cylinder shell,
now here is the question...
what do i use on the leather band that seals the piston to the cylinder... it had grease on it but both my buick manual and olds manual call for vacuum cylinder oil...
so can i just clean and re-grease it or do i need something more specific??
thanks guys!
