Greetings folks! I have been around some other Olds boards for a while, and have been looking for a fresh change. This one appears to be the one.
I have a 1970 4-4-2 that I have owned since 1973, and I am finally getting started on the restoration. I just sold a 67 Vista project that was getting in my way, so now I can give the 4-4-2 the attention it deserves.

Davesrocket, Welcome aboard. Nice to know that you've had the car for so long. That means it hasn't been tampered with??? So cool that you held onto it for this long!!
The pic was taken in November 1974, and the bell bottoms are history.
The car has most of the original parts with it. The engine was replaced by the second owner, and the original 4 speed case was replaced by me in 85 or 86. I was the 4th owner of the car as of September 1973. Owner #2 was very hard on it. Owners 1 and 3 took care of it. Me, I drive it like I stole it from time to time, as it was meant to be. When my youngest son turned 16, he ran the car in the high school class at the strip quite a bit. We have enough time slips in the glove box to choke a horse. It still wears what is left of the original Sebring Yellow paint. Hopefully that will change to a new Sebring Yellow now that things are settling down for me.
Here is a shot of it from a couple years ago.

The original owner was involved in a fender bender in 1970, so the hood was reshot and the right fender replaced. The paint on those two items did not hold up all too well.
