Smile 1969 HURST Olds...

...always wanted one since they were new, in 1969 there were 3 of them in my hometown and a '68 too

...the '68 was owned by a friend of mine who recently sold another '68 HURST with only 16K miles on the odometer

the 3 '69 HURSTS in town in 1969...

...friend destroyed one when it was fairly new and replaced it with a '70 W30 which he still owns
...one is still in town, original owner car but I haven't seen it in 35 years or more
...third one, no idea where it ever went

...and now mine, I purchased my H/O a couple of years ago with 40K miles...the car is still 99.9999% original and looks new...very happy with the car, exactly what I was looking for...car was bought new in Iowa and spent most of it's life there, it is currently in Indiana where it will probably remain

That looks exactly like one I bought about 5 years ago brand new! (except it's 1:18 scale and made by Ertl). You got a nice car there. Welcome , and looking forward to seeing more pix of your ride. Chumley

...I got a couple of the smaller size too, and watering them doesn't seem to help at all

Nice looking car. Is that original paint, or has it been painted more recently?

all original paint/interior etc...still shows on the trunklid where the car was restriped around the key lock before it was sold new

...the car is about as original as it was in 1969...I've checked my files and I guess I haven't taken any underhood shots or interior shots...need to do that this year

pix of Linda and I, 1984 at the US Nationals (top of the Winston Tower) and 25 years later with Doc at his garage during Woodward ...Linda & Doc signed 2 of my HURST Challengers that day

looked thru my filing cabinet, I have...

...the original dealer envelope/pouch
...the warranty book
...Protect-O-Plate
...build sheet(looks like it spent it's life between the seat springs)
...owners manual and a few other odds and ends
...the card to mail to HURST for the dash tag...apparently the original owner didn't apply for his
...I think it's HURST #99 and Demmer #154
...it is a non A/C car

...originating dealer

All the paperwork and information makes it that much nicer. I'd like to find a nice unrestored one some day. Mine is completely done. Also a non-air car. An unrestored one would be a nice stablemate for it.

...I looked for the "right one" for several years and found this one sort of by accident, and just an hour or so from my home

That's cool. I have seen a few low miles and/or 1-owner and/or unrestored cars. Some had lived hard lives. Glad you found a nice one.

If the one that you haven't seen in your town for 35 years shows up, give me a shout!

Really nice car. I like those and the 68' with the silver and black. The documentation you have is a nice bonus as well. Welcome to CO.

Nice car, always good to see and to know that original ones are still out there and do pop up from time to time, whereabouts in Indiana do you live?

Nice car...but then again I always liked the 69 Hurst. I also have one and you're right water doesn't make it grow any bigger. So, 1/18 scale will have to do for me.
