Newbie with a Cutlass

Im new to the site and wanted to introduce myself. Im a mechanic for the Army and a currently in Iraq. Recently picked up a 70 Cutlass S and was wondering if anyone knew any good salvage yards around Kansas or a good place to get parts for her. At the moment looking for the OAI hood and a few interior pieces. Nice to meet everyone.

Thanks, This is my 3rd tour, they were even thoughtful enough to throw a second tour to Korea in between my Iraq tours.

Glad to have you with us Danny. And thanks for your service. That Cutlass looks real nice, lots of chrome goodies in the engine bay too. I don't know about out in Kansas but here in K.C. it is hard to find any Oldsmobile stuff in the established junk yards and I have been to them all. Well, I take that back, there is one yard in North East K.C. that has quite a few Cutlass's but the owner was a real dick the last time I was there looking for a carburetor. My son was with me and he tried to buy a few wheel covers and the guy about bit his head off for "molesting" one of his wrecks without permission first! That was about ten years ago so the old coot might have died and someone with some sense might have taken over by now. I should go back there and check it out.

Hi welcome to the site. Thank you for your service. That is a very nice looking 70. You can buy many parts for that year new, If you can't find what you need used.

Ill prolly be putting some of the chrome goodies back to stock, but I havent decided yet.

Do you remember the name of the place in KC?

We are almost on the Syrian border, so I cant get much farther north without invading Syria. Adder is southeast of me.
