New to the site.

Hello all, I have been lurking around this forum for a few months and finally got around to joining. I have a '72 Cutlass Supreme that I have had since I was 15 (I'm 29 now). I have recently decided to go I guess somewhat of a protouring route with it. For now it has an Olds 350 with the TH350 trans. I'm building a 455 for it now and I'm looking to buy a 2004-R for it soon. I've installed the Hotchkis TVS kit, bilstein shocks, and the SC&C Stage II+ kit. Thanks for reading and I'm sure I'll have quite a few questions for you all as I go. Sorry for the large pics. I can't seem to shrink them down.

Is that a cranberry color? Very interesting and looks good on the car. If you are looking for headlight doors post in our "parts wanted" forum, someone may have them. Welcome to CO.

The color is actually a one off Kandy Apple Red (House of Kolor paint) and I just happened to have the headlight surrounds off when I took this picture, but they're back on now.

Yeah, because despite the fact that it's a nice looking car, those aren't Supreme grilles. All 1972 Supremes got the crosshatched grills like yours. The grilles with the straight bars are Cutlass grilles.

Yeah Joe's correct, I just happened to like the style of grill on my car better so I stuck with it. Good question though....you are actually the first to ask.

Yep welcome from another 72 owner. Haven't seen it or got it, but the paperwork says I own it. Arrives here 13th March.
Your car looks fast standing still. What size are those wheels in the avatar pic?

Col, they are 20X10 and 19X8. I still have my 15's that I can throw on it when I feel like being a little more classic. I know those wheels are too large for most, but I like the look.....kinda pro touring or resto mod'ish.

Well I gotta say, and I'm not a particularly big fan of big diameter wheels on particular classics, that those particular wheels on that particular car look particularly good........maybe it's that particular colour (that's how we spell color down here).
