350 engine in a 55 olds

What problems will I encounter if I put a 350V8 and T350 tranny, in a 55 Olds. Does anyone make bolt-in motor mounts and tranny mount for this swap? Also, is anyone making new gas tanks for 55 Olds'?

Citcapp will probably speak up. He put a 455 in his 57 which would a very similiar swap.

Welcome

Welcome aboard

Hang in there a sec, Citcapp is on the left coast and hasn't gotten out of PJ's yet.

I used to kid him about rain but he sent it all to Gawga

Talking Welcome to CO

Follow this link https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...gine-swap.html to my conversion. I have pictures and lots of details on this swap here. Ask any questions and I will be glad to help out. It's not to difficult of a swap as long as you have access to a welder and a cutting tourch. You have to make your frame mounts for the engine and transmission, but other then that and careful layout the fit. The 350 will be eaiser as it has a lower deck height.

Jamsbo, You using your boat to get from the garage to the house yet? Hope you found a dry place for the bear.
