My Introduction

Hi All,
I am new to this, so be kind! LOL
Just bought a 1976 Regency, almost identical to one I owned back in my youth.
It is a very solid low mile find, 14,000mi.. Will be slowly sorting out all the issues that a car that has sat forever will have.
Pretty sure I will be filled with questions in the near future.
Looking forward to my new journey

Congrats on the purchase! I was thinking about that car also. It very close to where I live, plus my dad bought a Oldsmobile brass hat company car that was almost a twin with few more options. I remember driving that car, that hood went on forever and what a great riding car also!

Welcome!! Beautiful land yacht!!! I had a loaded '75 triple black Regency 4 dr back in the '80s. I loved that car!! It's too bad the Ohio road cancer got it or I'd still have it!! As they say "they don't make 'em like that anymore!!!

Just an update to my adventure. Had the car for a couple months now.
First off, I had to replace the heater core, that was an adventure, but now done and got the carpet cleaned.
The rubber rear quarter extensions are shot, and have ordered fiberglass replacements. Still waiting on them to arrive.
Had to remove and clean both the wiper fluid and coolant reservoir tanks, the were full of scum from sitting.
Replaced the alternator, it was only putting out about 12V.
Fought with starter for awhile, not always engaging. Finally just gave up and replaced starter.
Replaced all speakers front and rear, radio works fine. Will be sending antenna out for rebuild, drive cable is broken.
Power steering pressure hose developed a pinhole and was seeping, replaced hose.
Had issues with door locks and trunk key, got them lubed up and all working.
A few dings and dents that I will address when I finally get the extensions ready to be painted.
Been driving it daily mostly just around town, have attended a couple car shows that took me on some extended drives of about 60 mi..
Clock, cruise, A/C, power seats and all exterior & interior lights are working
Running great, driving great, a few squeaks and rattles I need to trace down. But so far very dependable.
I am sure there will be more to come, poor thing sat for way too long.
I think it is very happy to be on the road again!!!
