Another newby to CO. Been following threads the past couple of days and you guys seem very knowledgable. I'm currently dismantling a 71 Cutlass Supreme convertible for a rebuild and need all the knowledge I can get. Look forward to using this forum on a regular basis.

Welcome, I strongly suggest getting a Chassis Service Manual a Body By Fisher service manual and an Assembly manual. Although the latter are mostly available as photo copy reprints there is still some good info available within them.

Thanks for the welcome.
Located in Manhattan Kansas.
I have an assembly manual and a Chiltons book. Is there quite a bit more info in the Fisher manuals?

Yes the chassis manuel and the fisher manuels are specific for that year and what gm put out for there service dept. Both are must haves in my opinion.
Oh well I'm in MD little far to get together over a beer.

I'll get those manuals coming and in the meantime try to figure out how to post pictures. Who knows, I may take a trip out that way when I get my olds finished, wonder what that would cost in gas???
I've got the front clip off, motor and tranny out, and starting to take apart the interior. Have a friend who owns a racing shop and traded concrete work for a motor job so that area is covered. It will be interesting when I get to the part where I take the body off the frame.
