Been researching information about non W30 70 442s and enjoy the knowledge of the people here. Grew up with a 70 Cutlass S and tried to locate a twin or a W31 to fulfill the void without it. Found a 70 442 post in our little town that a costumer wanted restored. It was the same color combo but it was void of options and not for sale. Unfortunately the customer’s life went from good to not so good and his family let me make an offer.
It was a hard spot to be in because I couldn’t talk to the guy who took it apart or where the parts might be. It was scattered in four garages in threes towns. Knowingly overpaid for it but instead of searching for a car I could start searching for parts and information.

It’s red with ivory bench seat. Has the original W25 hood. Built in October of 69’ and sold new from Empire Olds in Denver. Someone converted it to a 400 transmission but left the little brake pedal and screwed a piece of tin over the hole in the floor. It spent the first part of its life in a village in Nebraska.

Welcome to C.O.! Looks like you've got a solid start for your project. I am sorry to hear about the seller's troubles, but at the same time happy that you are able to help them out while doing something fun for yourself. I had to smile when reading your text. My late Mother's Olds' (that's all she drove!) were all purchased at Empire.
