1968 Hurst Olds Headliner

Hello,
Can anyone tell me if 1968 Hurst Olds all have 6 bow headliners? I have seen information saying that early 1968 442's have 5 bow headliners and late cars have 6 bow. I recently acquired a 1968 Hurst Olds with an ill fitting headliner and i am trying to determine if possibly a 5 bow headliner was used where a 6 bow should have been used.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thank You

Welcome! Nice Purchase! Sorry, I don't have any direct knowledge about the headliners But I just had to chime in about your new ride. Very Kool. Post-up some pics when you get a chance. We all like to Oooh and Aaah over new toys

Just checked my '68 4-4-2. It is a 12E '67 LAN build. Is that mid-production? The liner has a taut surface consisting of 6 panels with 5 bows/seams. Hope this is helpful.

Rich

All, thanks for the warm welcome and great information. It appears a previous owner put a 5 bow headliner where the 6 bow is applicable. I am going to replace it with a new proper 6 seam headliner and confirm that i have the 6 bows.

I don't believe it's possible to install a 5 bow headliner in place of a 6 bow , and yes early cars did get the 5 bow and later had the 6 bow , both my November and December 67 built 68's have 5 bow headliners and my April and June built 68's have 6 bow headliners. we need pictures, what makes it ill fitting?
