Hi fellas...

Although no Oldsies in my life these days, there's still Rocket blood racing through my veins!.
Among others, daily drivers of my past included a '69 442 Post car also a '70 442 Post factory W25 car!.

I bought the '69 in the 70's for $200 and blew the original M40 the same day I hit the road..
A $40 M40 from a '69 Poncho GP cured that problem but the original 400 spit a rod through the block and into the starter a week later..
I then bought a $50 '71 98 Coupe for it's 455 but the car was too nice to kill so traded it for a bent '69 Toro and donated it's 455 to the cause!.
A few years of fun later I foolishly gutted and caged the car turning it into a stock car...the car w/ tags intact is still sitting behind my buddy's barn..

I bought the '70 Post about 1982 for $800...a W32/M40 dual gate car w/ original motor & trans..
I drove it home on foolish youth alone w/ a gas leak and zero brakes...even had it doing over 100 miles per hour on the trip!.
A few years of fun were had then one winter while parked the critters ate my plug wires and I traded it to a Speed Shop guy for a load of NOS parts..
About 10 years ago a then current owner guy tracked me down by paper trail asking about the car and if I had any parts...I told of my time w/ the car also what parts I still had left but never heard from him again..

Cars and parts were sure cheaper back then!!!

Oldsmophilia

As a 69 post 442 Oldsmophiliac,I am happily entrenched in my "disease"getting lottsa 12 step help from the fellow addicts on this site.Like us,the first step is to admit you are powerless over Olds and that your life has become unmanageable![largely because you presently don't have one]. Check the cars for sale,Craig's list,442.com etc. and above all, keep coming back here for help!! p.s. there are a TON of 69 and 70 442 owners here who feel you pain
