Newbie's from south Mississippi

A big "Hello" to everyone!!! We're new members here and we are located in south Mississippi...about 90 miles north of the Gulf Coast. Thanks for letting us be a part of this wonderful forum...We've always been in love with Oldsmobile's. We married when we were 18, and our first vehicle was a 1972 Cutlass Supreme, and then traded for a 1976 4-4-2.....With the start of our family, we let the 4-4-2 go...(boy, do we wish we had that one back )..

About 10 years ago, after searching non-stop for over a year, we finally located a '72 Supreme identical to the one we had. And the best part of all, it only had 27,000 original miles on her!! She's still all original...just like it came off the line. Then, we went on a mission to find another 4-4-2 like the one we had.....we weren't able to find a '76, but we did find a '77 4-4-2 the same color as the one that we had. It's got the 403 in it. We still haven't given up hope of one day finding another '76. Miss those swivel seats, and that 455!! But, having these two that are what we had all those years ago....is a pretty cool thing!! (we think so, anyway)...

We just can't imagine life without our OLDSMOBILES....

A big WELCOME to CO! Don't ever sell them (don't ask me about that!!!). When you get a chance, post some pictures of your new (Olds) rides!

Welcome.
There is also a forum dedicated to the 73-77 cutlass/442 crowd. When you can cruise the site more fully, search 442much. He'll have listed it in some of his posts.

Welcome to the forum. Nice to see a husband and wife team both into cars. Mine keeps asking how much is it worth and when are you going to sell it.

This wife LOVES her OLDS!!!!!

I love our cars just as much as my husband does!!! I enjoy them and I enjoy the time that we spend together. We "cruise" just about every weekend. In fact, the 25th of this month, we are traveling 600 miles to a "cruise-in" at the Somernites Cruise in Somerset, Ky.....can't wait.....

I tell everyone that the hobby (and love) of these old cars is the best hobby in the world. It's the one hobby that can include your entire family....and you meet some of the best people....and make some wonderful friends along the way.....

and Guys....thank you for letting me(the wife) be a part of this forum, too....

Welcome aboard

Glad you joined up.

I guess I have to ask. How did you make out during Kathrina?

Thank you

Jamesbo, thank you for asking....Katrina is definitely something that we never hope to experience again....We survived it. Had winds here (90+miles from the coast) in access of 125 MPH...our area was the second hardest hit area in it's path. But one special thing -our grandson was born a few days afterwards....a little early, but he and our daughter were both just fine.

Hurricane season is upon us again....June 1- November 30...
