New To The Forum 32 Oldsmobile

Hey guys, I’m new to the forum. I just recently purchased a 32 Oldsmobile. It’s been in the family since 1965. I plan on building a street rod with it. I’ve been trying to find more information on it.

Welcome to the forum.
Can we have some pictures please?
I dare say some here will be horrified at turning your car into a rod, but it's your car do do what you like with. Is it a rolling wreck?. If you do want to chop it up let us know if you have any surplus parts that need a good home.

Roger.

I tried posting two pictures on my original comment. I’ll try again here. No drivetrain currently. I do have every piece of original steel for it but it’s far from perfect. It’s going to need some wood repair and a little rust repair but the body is oreyyy solid. I don’t plan on chopping it but will possibly channel it. I also plan on running a 56 Desoto Hemi I have and a 4 speed.

I don’t plan on using the running boards or fenders but I haven’t yet decided what to do with them.
Can anyone tell me if there’s a matching number on my car to my VIN on the title? I’ve read it was stamped on the engine but I don’t have the original engine.

That is SO cool. Would be neat with an injected 394......just saying ....it would be cool to keep it all Oldsmobile.

It would be cool to keep it all Oldsmobile, however I have this Hemi already. I’m also a Mopar fan as well and wouldn’t mind using the same trans and rear in both cars. It’s also hard to beat the wow factor of a first gen Hemi hanging out the front.

Awesome! I cant wait to see what you do with this. I have been on the hunt for a buildable car for about 6 months now. I bought a 394 in October for when i find a suitable project. Keep the pictures rolling in. What part of Illinois are you in?

I’m sure it’s not been easy finding a good car to start with. You just don’t see these older Oldsmobile’s around. I’m located in Sullivan IL. South west of Champaign.
