FastEddy from MN
Hello. I thought I would introduce myself as I am new to this forum.
My name is Pat but many people call me Fast Eddy.
I was heavily into Oldsmobiles from the time I was about 16 until about 10 years ago.
My first cutlass was 1970 green Cutlass supreme. and over my younger years I owned several Oldsmobiles including a number of Cutlass Supremes, a 68 and a 70 442 and a couple of Vista Cruisers.
I put many miles in my younger days on my 1970 supreme with a four speed and my 1970 Vista cruiser. My wife actually married me when I was still driving the 70 Vista.
When we bought our first house I negotiated in a ram air hood from the seller
I have done frame off restorations on my 70 supreme four speed, a 1970 442 convertible and another 1970 Cutlass SX for somebody else.
I was a professional body man for a number of years so I have painted quite a few cars.
I have not had a classic Oldsmobile for about 15 years now.I recently decided I really wanted to find and fix up a rallye 350.
I am keeping my eyes out now and I have placed a wanted ad in the wanted section. I am hoping a decent project pops up.
My love for Oldsmobile's actually goes back to when I was about 10 years old. My mom was test driving cars when I was a kid and she test drove a used 70-72 Cutlass supreme. I loved that car and I really wanted her to buy it. She ended up buying a green 71 Pontiac Catalina 4 door, wow was that an ugly car!
For the next year or two whenever I was in the car with my mom and we saw a Cutlass I would chant " Mom theirs a Cutlass Mom theirs a Cutlass !"in a very annoying tone just to rub in the fact that she did not buy the right car.
The funny thing is that I had completely forgotten about that until my cousin reminded me when I was about 18 and on my second Cutlass
Anyways hello everybody! Hope to have another soon.

Welcome to the group... Good luck in your quest for the ultimate 70 Rallye 350... I have had two in my past years, but like many other vehicles, they were sold off to make room for other projects...

Thanks for the kind welcome guys.
I looked at that last week, they want way too much that POS. That thing needs everything, body, paint, full interior. it has the wrong engine, intake, dist, carb. There is no evidence there were ever the brackets for the hood pins or a rear sway bar. There were many missing trim parts and about 50 pounds of oil soaked floor dry under the car, other than that it was fine.....
