Yet another new dude to the forum
Hello to all, I am new to this forum...I found some interesting Olds. discussions going on here,so I decided to join, because I have tackled an engine swap in a 1987 olds cutlass 442. I am removing the factory 307 and will attempt to install a 1968 olds 455...I have already consulted with Joe on the motor mounts (of which seem to be a prime subject). To date, I have only set the engine in the engine bay to observe any possible fittment issues, before I get everthing built, painted and all prettied up...The engine does sit up higher in the engine bay more than I would like using the 307 engine mounts. I do realize that the deck height is taller on the Olds big block engines though...It looks as though I wil have hood clearance issues at this point. I will try to locate a different (lower profile intake) to free up some clearance....If any on else has already made an engine swap such as this PLEASE ,share any info.,knowledge with this, as it would be GREATLY APPRECIATED...
I haven't done this swap, but the Toronado intakes are sunken in the center. That would give you more clearance. If you decide to try that create a parts wanted thread and include your city/state since these are very heavy. John
Welcome to the forum!
SOunds like you have a neat swap going. You might also hunt around on oldsgmail.com for other info on the g-body cars. I have heard of others using 455s in them, and remember the A/C box has to be modified.
Make up a build thread when you can!

Welcome to CO
the 455 will wake up that 87. Make a tent out of aluminum foil and lay it on the air cleaner and close the hood. Then measure the squished foil to see if you have enough clearance. Good luck
