Whats up from kansas

I own a 78 cutlass supreme rebuilding the front end I recently purchased a '72 455/400 thats where I am at as of today

thanks i didnt get into olds until this 78, people kept saying just put a sbc in it and call it a day for some reason it didnt make sense to put a sbc in an olds

Yes the the sbc does not belong in an Olds. The 455 is a torque monster. You will be very happy with the results.

All the guys with sbc will want to know how you get all that power out of your car. When you go to tell them "It has a 455 in it." Then just laugh as they let it soak in. The 455 Olds. is a very nice, dependable, and strong engine. You can't go wrong with it.

Welcome from another Wichitan. My mom had a 79 Cutlass Supreme that looked a lot like yours, color and all. It didn't survive, but I still got dad's 70 Cutlass S.
