VIN Locations

Cool VIN Locations

I just bought a 1969 Cutlass S and trying to find the VIN locations on the car. Can anyone help? Much appreciated!!!

From: NEW HARTFORD CT
vin will be under windshield on driver side, the numbers will be something like 334967 for example will have either the letter m,z,e or 1 for Canada


the cowl tag will be on top of driver side cowl and will be aluminum plate
which will decode build date , colors ,build sequence and sometimes options are listed


the vin will also be on motor and tranny as well

Also the motor and tranny if original to car will both start w 39 letter of plant and remaining digits should match the remaining numbers in your vin location.


for example 39m34567 this is what you would see on the motor pad which is on driver side towards the front by power steering pump.
Tranny will on driver side same sequence
