IS THERE A MEMBERSHIP FEE?

On other car sites like Chevelles.com, anyone can log on and contribute but they also give the option of paying a yearly fee allows for access to a members only site. Is this an option for this site? Thanks

Well

The only thing we may request on this site are pics of your ride and info about it , that is considering you do have an Olds.

You have to have 5 posts and be a member to log on or post here unless it's the Newbies forum, sort of a fee or mandatory human trick for membership.
This is already a member's only site, no criteria, as long as you have a PC that's online, you're breathing and you can type.

I have a 72 Cutlass that I am badging as a 442. It is keeping the flat hood, no spoiler, but does have stripes on the hood, decklid, and sides--all homemade stripes. It is freshly painted blue with white stripes and has a white vinyl top. This is the second vinyl top I have done myself and it actually came out OK. OPG said there was a backorder on Cutlass white vinyl tops so I ordered one for a Chevelle and it fit just fine. I tried to keep the cost down by not buying a scoop hood and spoiler. I did buy a nice console on craigslist for 100 bucks and will be installing that. I had some A body buckets that are at the upholstery shop now.

I'll try to post some pics next week. Any pointers on how to put pics in the body of the msg? Is there a sticky on that?

Thanks for all the nice replies.

Mike

The membership fee is an Olds 455 short block. I'll tell you where to send it.

Are you looking for one? I know a kid who has a complete engine he took out of his 72. I think its a slightly newer engine, but I just thought I would ask.

Sites shouldn't REQUIRE a fee, considering they get users to come to their site, and they can get advertisers to pay them for space on their site.

But some sites do charge.
I paid a lifetime membership fee to Nastyz28 since I've been there since 2001 and they've helped me IMMENSELY with my 1978 z/28. So I view it as a contribution to the site for EXTRA privileges that aren't necessary at all.

That was a joke, but I'm always looking for 455 blocks. Considering the last one was cast 33 years ago, you can't have too many stockpiled. Of course, I'm a cheap SOB, so I've been picking up bare blocks for $50 and complete short blocks for $150.
