Question Thanks for the add

I am currently working on a 71 Cutlass convertible. So far I have totally rebuilt the front end and replaced all the shocks/springs. When I was replacing the rear springs and shocks I noticed that my differential has had some lube leakage. It is a 10 bolt, and from what I can gather from the lack of giddy up, 2.56:1 "peg leg". I can find the replacement gasket but I want to know the type of oil that I needs to go into the differential as most of the auto parts stores will list several, with different viscosities (sp?), as being usable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anything in the range of 80-90 weight gear oil will work fine.

It's grown on me

I got it thinking it was going to be RED by the time I was done with it, but the Saturn Gold has really grown on me and I really like it with the pearl interior! Gotta ask while it is fresh on my mind, any of you all with a 68-72 A body have issues with the rearmost body to frame bolts? Both of mine are beyond shot, drivers side is gone from the bushing down through the frame and I actually opened that section of the trunk up to expose the other end of the bolt and the nut. I want to cut/grind it off since it is seized in place, place some 1/4" mild steel plate over the sheet metal, tack it in place, fasten both ends with all thread and call it good until I can get a full on frame off resto. Passenger side just broke free when I tried to remove it, so, once I open it up I plan on doing the same unless you all have a better idea? I really appreciate all the help so far, and you all have some pretty sweet rides too! Brings back a lot of memories of growing up with Oldsmobile.

Good decision on keeping the original Saturn Gold! The last thing the world needs is another red convertible.
