Clunker,

I payed 650$ for this car about 6 months ago, it had 132,000 miles on it, 307 smallblock 350heads, Single straight pipe with glasspack, about to do doubles, as soon as headers arrive, Had new headgaskets, valve covers, waterpump alternator, I have raced it against 5.0 mustangs and destroy until 3rd hits then i lose all power, about to do 3.73 gears to stop that power loss,.. Parts being installed this week, 5inch lift, blower, headers, gears in rear end, (about me; im 19, u have a 16 month old son, im engaged, i bought this car as a ED but found it only gets 8mpg, so purchased a dodge 600 convertable so i could park this beast and build her up.

Welcome aboard! Those are very nice riding cars. Here is a thread you will want to look through!
https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...98-owners.html

That stock 307 should get at least 15mpg so if you are getting only 8, it needs some work. Here is some good info on the 307, yours being the VIN Y model...

Both of my front tires have started to make noises, they are not wobbling or moving in any uncomfortable way, but my passanger side sqeaks to high heaven, and my driver side pops and cracks only when going straight, Any ideas? im going to start with wheel bearings, and rotors, Rotors i know are SHOT,

While your there pay attn. to your front suspension and steering gear. Especially look at your rubber control arm bushings, sway bar links, and shocks. I would also inspect, replace if necessary, and repack the front wheel bearings.
