slim jim trans

I have transmission fluid leaking after engine shut down, seems to be coming out of the dip stick .I have read some postings but really didn't a answer on a more positive fix. Can anyone give me some ideas on what to do? I have a 62 starfire

Hows the fluid level? Over full will cause leaks. Clean the leak area good with brake cleaner and look for the source. I will assume the leak is from the bottom of the dipstick tube verses out of the top. There is a seal where the tube inserts into the trans. Its likely the leak source.
