Shipping a 442

Hello All,

I'm new to the forum. I recently inherited my Fathers 1972 442 and I need to have it shipped from Nevada to Los Angeles. Can anyone recommend a solid company?

Much Thanks!

That is not too far a distance to drive it, if it is complete and in running condition.
Maybe find a local shop to have it readied for a long drive. Have them check the important things like brake system, fluid changes, belts and hoses. Maybe get a AAA membership if that makes you feel more confident.
I did the above with my '72 (but without the AAA) and made it 1400 miles in the middle of summer without more than the AC giving up. Made a memorable road trip as well!

I agree a short distance but, we don't know the condition so might have to be hauled. Try www.monarchcarshipping.com they have done me well several times.

Try Red Carpet Auto Transport at www.redcarpetautotransport.com. I worked with Tige to ship my 1972 442 from Michigan to Arizona this summer. There are a lot of shady brokers out there. Tige's contact info is:

Very honest guy.

Good luck

Why not just rent a car hauler or trailer and just go pick her up? I am sure it would be less than a shipping Co. if it won't make the trip. I rented a U-Haul trailer when I picked mine up. It was about 300 miles or so. Can't remember the cost, but it was cheap.
