SBO build

Boys and Girls,

Need some advice on a SBO build. I want to put some meat into my SB 72 Cutlass convertible. I was going to do a BB but block had been bored 60 over and machinist said walls were scored and block was maxed out as far as bore so I decided to go with a SB. Since the car is a 29K mile original I am saving the drive train in case next owner is a purist. I have a 69 block with #2 nickel content. I have Edelbrock Aluminum heads that I had machined (70 cc chambers) and going with Edelbrock Performer RPM intake. When asking Edelbrock for advice on a 750 cfm carb they said can't do b/c of egr valve. As far as I know they did not start putting egr valves on GM cars until 1973. Am I wrong? Anyway, any problems with Edelbrock Intake manifold #2711 with an Edelbrock 750 cfm carb # 1411.

I am putting flat top pistons (JE) and Carrillo connecting rods in this machine with a T5 behind it. Have a build 10 bolt 8.5 GM ring diff with Yukon posi and 3.73 gears (could not find any ring and pinions gears for the 12 bolt O carrier I was going to use). Heads have roller rockers from Mondello.

Any other suggestions to make this special?
