Really Green Newbie

Hi Guys I have had a couple of 70 Goats in the past. Been waiting for a 68 442 convertible for 30 years and it has finally arrived. Car is pretty pristine shape but someone over the years took the motor out and put in a newer 350 olds. It has to go. I need to find a 400 396026G motor for it because I am just a nut like that. CAn't wait for Spring. Any help in finding a motor close to Ontario Canada would be appreciated but I will go where ever I need to to get it or ship it. Let me know if anyone can help.

66004 original miles.

Base coat applied. Got to get rid of this 350 in it so I can sleep. Just got it and I can not sleep for the excitement.

Welcome, you may want to give John Green a call he has lots of Olds parts and contacts in the Southern Ontario area and may be able to help or guide you.

I've found this site to be excellent, I'm sure you will have the same experience here.
Love the 68. What color is your car, it's hard to judge by the photo?

What engine, and what standards must be met?
G400, no matter how crusty?
MT or AT?

Frankly I'd advise much like previously- find a Toro 425 and use that. Put a G400 casting ID on it if you must have it "look right".

I've got a 400G block & caps for $150. Standard bore but needs to be bored at least .030 over. I'm 3 1/2 hours away (but across the border)

Personally I'd put a 455 in it......
