hello, from Canada. just got a 80 cutlass for my son actually hes 17 yrs old and its his first car. Of course its a father son project,hes worked part time for the last 2 yrs and saved all his money to buy this car.He bought some ridler 675 rims17x8and17x7 .I will be buying him 2-255/50/17 for rear and 225/50/17 for front. For his graduation present. anyways its nice to be in an olds forum.Thanks for reading,anyways right now Im replacing the drivers side power window regulator . I grabbed a replacement out of a wreckers and when i matched them up one has the spring assist and one doesnt.It doesnt even have a spot where one could go.Do some regulators have the assist spring, and some dont?> or maybe the one the car I took it out of was a different year?Im not sure or why one regulator would have the spring and one wouldnt. Hopefully someone knows why this is. thank you very much.

 

I believe the spring was a mid-year upgrade - if they're the same otherwise, don't hesitate.

 

some models didnt have the spring? If mine came with one originaly should I try to put the spring on the replacement? ty vm for replying
